Components of Electric vehicles

There are four major components of electric vehicles that can be categorized in to

1. Motor
2. Motor controller
3. Power electronics
4. Batteries 

Motors are like IC Engines which drive the vehicle to motion,there might be more than one motor to drive the vehicle.Batteries are the power source for electric vehicles which store their power as chemical energy.The major component of electric vehicle is power electronics which is responsible for proper and efficient functioning of electric vehicles without which a electric vehicle may be a piece of crap.The power electronics function can be to protect battery i.e battery management system and increase lifetime.

An electric vehicle is an automobile which was invented long back in the year 1884(First practical production) is driven by one or more electric motor,using electric energy stored in Rechargeable batteries.
